Dear Diary

Dear Diary is where I share my favorite form of writing: letters. Writing letters is kind of my thing. My closest friends and family know that I love writing long, heartfelt letters for every occasion. I believe if you have something to say to someone, you should not leave it unsaid. It is here that I write letters that cannot be sent. I write to the entities that do not reside at an address. I write letters of love to my favorite things, and letters of heartbreak to the life I mourn.

In the words of Theroux, “to send a letter is a good way to go somewhere, without moving anything but your heart.” I would argue that the act of simply writing that letter can often bring one to that same place.
